Introduction

I’m Claire Wingfield, and I’m a freelance writer, editor, and literary consultant. I also work as a scout for London-based literary agency MBA Literary Agents.

I have a strong background in publishing and regularly freelance for a number of publishers. I also help other organisations create a strong and consistent written identity through a number of editorial services. These range from editing, proof-reading, and copywriting, to an editorial consultancy package which includes editing / proof-reading existing content as necessary; creating a house-style for online and print copy; showing in-house staff how to put it to good use; and answering any questions of grammar or style.

Authors who would like a full report on their manuscript and in-depth advice on how to take it to the next level, as well as professional advice on how to approach publishers / progress their writing can apply to the literary consultancy service. Submitted manuscripts are automatically considered in my scouting work for MBA Literary Agents.
