Playwrights’ Studio Scotland
National organisation which directly engages the people of Scotland with new playwriting and raises the standard of plays for presentation to the public. Range of activities designed to expand the skills and experience of Scotland’s playwrights, including mentoring, networking, and workshops.
Scottish Book Trust
Scotland’s national agency for reading and writing. Their writer development programme offers mentoring opportunities and workshops for writers. Read their interview with me about the role of a literary consultant here.
West Port Book Festival
The West Port Book Festival offers a diverse and exciting programme of free literary events in the Edinburgh area of West Port each June, many taking place in the area's second-hand bookshops.
Imaginate
An arts organisation that promotes and develops the performing arts for children and young people. Development programme supports writers and theatre practitioners. Visit the Imaginate festival in Edinburgh each May / June for top-class theatre for children and young people.

Scottish Pamphlet Poetry

Website listing (and selling) poetry pamphlets with a Scottish connection.  If you have produced a poetry pamphlet / chapbook of between 6 and 36 pages, excluding prelims, you can apply online to have yours listed. Also hosts an annual pamphlet fair at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
