I work one-on-one with a small number of writers at any one time. It’s a very personal process, which changes with the needs and goals of each writer, but in each mentorship I guide the mentee in developing their craft over a sustained period of time.
A writing mentorship involves working to deadline, challenging writing habits, and being prepared to discuss one’s work. Writers develop skills, confidence, and the best possible draft of their manuscript.
My writing handbook, '52 Dates for Writers', was inspired by some of the exercises I have created for my mentees and can give you an idea of my approach, and if you take a look at the recommendations page of my website, you'll see what some of my past mentees have said about the process.
If you'd like to discuss writing mentorships, please drop me an email on firstname.lastname@example.org detailing your project and writing experience. It would also help to see a short sample of your writing.
